Established during 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes started as a family business within the Northern Italy's biggest industrial location. Throughout the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into a manufacturing and industrial economy, the company was working in the metal structural sector and welded construction industries. FMgru was involved in constructing pylons to convey electricity, bridges for roads, different types of forklifts, presses, farming equipments and prefabrication molds.
The business began crane production during 1963. Eventually, the company pooled all of its resources into this one activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest specialization level in the field of lifting.

FMgru presently makes and sells 4 different series of tower cranes. These machinery are designed and engineered for various applications and there are units available to cover all construction requirements.
Several models offer extremely flexible lifting options for companies that are constructing small buildings and private houses. Self-erecting cranes have 1200 to 4000 kg capacity and offer 22 to 40 meters jib range.
Other models include topless tower cranes. These cranes have 30 to 65 meters jib range and a running capacity of 1800 to 6000 kg. The fast erecting tower cranes are user friendly and extremely adaptable. They are great for minimizing interferences when there are numerous cranes working in the same building location.
Saddle-jib tower cranes have a running capacity of 6000 kg to 12000 kg and a jib range of 58 to 80 meters. There are standard tower cranes which have no over sail restriction and are great for any construction or building project.
The Fdr56Luffing-jib cranes have 50 meter jibs and are equipped with 12000 kg capacity. These types of cranes are particularly designed to work in restricted sites and on high-rise projects where buildings are located near each other.
