A lift truck to be a successful model should be built powerful to last the working environments for many hours of use. It must be able to move loads quickly and effectively as well. The equipment should be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator too.
The Yale powertrain is rugged and reliable. It needs to be strong enough to always deliver incredible durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with robust gears and extremely tough shafts. The transmission, engine, steer axle and drive are all isolated to lessen both vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
The Mazda LP and GM Gas Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These machines provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimum repair or adjustment. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that lessen wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Both the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to enhanced torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on the majority of equipment. It features gears that are 15% stronger and shafts that provide resistance when driving on rough terrain. The strong clutch packs provide 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching that adjusts automatically in order to decrease maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission uses computer-controlled power reversal to eliminate shock loading, increase durability and extend the life of the tires. Additionally, the auto deceleration feature lessens brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Engineered for extra durability, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are entirely sealed against contamination and practically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for damage and debris, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that can add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's standard packages, they have included a lot of safety features and ergonomic features. These machinery would handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
