Lift trucks are categorized into the following types according to the structure:



Standard Trucks: Standard Trucks make up the sturdy and large models which are usually used inside warehouses. Standard trucks can normally carry weights between 3,000 pounds to 4,000 pounds and their blades could lift loads up to a height of 20 feet.



Reach Truck: The reach truck or narrow aisle lift truck are usually smaller, more maneuverable and runs mostly on electricity. These machines are specially designed for pallet storage. They can carry loads up to 40 feet in height. If you want raising and unloading weights fast and over long distances, than a reach truck will not be the right option for your requirements.



Order Selector: Very narrow aisle lift trucks or order selectors can be used to transport racked loads that are much smaller than pallet size. Order Selectors are different in that they can raise both the load and the truck driver as high as 40 feet.



Motorized Pallet Trucks: Motorized Pallet Trucks are also known as walkies, walkie riders and riders. These units are appropriately named because of the fact that the operator is not required to sit inside of the vehicle to be able to operate it. Instead, the driver walks beside the truck as it transports the cargo.



Swing Mast Trucks: Swing Mast Trucks are similar in appearance to standard models of trucks. These are equipment with a narrow aisle and have masts that can swing up to 90 degrees, just in one direction.



Turret Trucks: The turret truck has been designed to operate in very narrow aisles. Like an Order Selector, they can lift the cargo and the driver. Furthermore, these kinds of trucks are capable of swinging their forks ninety degree on each side.
